Jim Fregosi's Estate is Selling a Bunch of Cool Phillies Memorabilia
As manager of the 1993 Phillies, Jim Fregosi had a big job. He had to keep egos, mullets, beer guts, and balls-out brashness in check. It was one hell of a time, and Fregosi’s estate is selling off some of the former manager’s memorabilia from that era.
The items up for auction span Fregosi’s entire career, but here are the notable items from his Phils era:
- 1993 team autographed bat (above)
- 1992 throwback game worn jersey
- Bat signed by the 1996 NL All-Stars (Piazza, Larkin, Bonds, Gwynn, Maddux, etc.)
- Phillies 1996 All-Star jersey signed by the NL All-Stars
- Fregosi’s 1996 All-Star ring
- Fregosi’s 1993 NL Champions Ring
And – if you’re weird or just love weird things – there’s a picture of Fregosi and his wife meeting Richard Nixon which is signed by Nixon. Bidding for most items is pretty low right now, so get in on that Nixon picture while you can.
