During the NFL draft, the Eagles failed to give Sam Bradford the trade he was asking for. We don’t know how hard they actually tried to deal him, but ESPN’s Andrew Brandt says he knows what the asking price was:

“My sources tell me the Eagles were asking for a lot. Maybe a second round pick. Maybe two second round picks. Maybe more.”

Could have been one pick. Could have been two. Could have been ∞. We don’t know. Notably, Alex Smith was traded for a second and a conditional third that turned into a second, so the Eagles were at least looking at equal value for Bradford. They team never seemed all that motivated to swap Bradford, and now he’s rescinded his trade request and showed up at camp. He’s an Eagle for now, but he could have turned into anywhere from one to 3,000 second round picks.
