Brian Orakpo, Mostly Appropriately, Calls the Eagles' Offensive Line "Garbage"
Brian Orakpo, whose name will forever be linked with the Geico caveman, is defending new teammate and former great running back DeMarco Murray. Orakpo, speaking to the Tennessean, which is the only ten I see in here:
“There’s a lot of factors that may play into it. Wrong style, not getting along with the coaching staff, offensive line being garbage. I mean, it’s a lot of things that can be attributed to the way he performed or the way he didn’t perform as well as everybody wanted him to. But I really feel like the Titans is the team for him, and like I said, he’s been great so far.”
Sure, Brian Orakpo, just wait until he has to fight for an extra yard in a real game, or pretend to give a shit in general. But, you’re not wrong about the Eagles’ offensive line. Unless, of course, you believe Pro Football Focus, which must be smoking something:
Top-graded run-blocking teams in 2015:
1. Dallas Cowboys
2. Philadelphia Eagles
3. Arizona Cardinals
4. Chicago Bears
5. New Orleans Saints— PFF (@PFF) May 25, 2016
Say what now? Is this the same team that had Murray getting tackled 46 yards in the backfield and gave Sam Bradford the yips? Ah, right, OK. Whatever you say.
Still, Murray sucks, too, proving that being a running back is not so easy a caveman can do. And yes, in fact I am having trouble getting back into the swing of things after a few days off.
