Public Policy Polling, one of the premier poll groups out there, asked 1,106 Pennsylvanians some questions about November’s election. What’d they find? Pennsylvanians prefer Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump a mere 41% to 40%, with third-party candidates taking the remaining allotment of votes. That’s not a comfortable lead for Clinton at all. When pollsters asked “Clinton or Trump” straight up, the crowd was split into a tie. PPP said that “Republicans are more unified around Trump than Democrats are around Clinton.” But, the Phillie Phanatic:

I’m not sure the Phanatic would actually be a stronger leader, however. For one, he’s a bit Trump-ish. He’s bawdy, he’s anti-PC, he’s a little touchy-feely, he roots for chaos, and no one’s really sure why his face is the way it is.

On the other side of things, he hangs out with a bunch of immigrants (the Galapagos Gang), sends food over the wall all the time for people to eat, and I’m not sure how his unabashed homo-eroticism would play on the right. In other words, he’s obviously a member of the Green Party, and now we’re back at square one.
