The Sixers just leaked that they’re taking Ben Simmons with Thursday’s number one overall pick. Ben is stoked:

Just after that news broke, a Woj Bomb dropped that Joel Embiid has been cleared to begin “light scrimmaging,” meaning 5-on-5 workouts. Not only is this the first time he’s been this far in his rehab, but working 5-on-5 means he’s open to the press. There will surely be a lot more to come out of this.

And now – take this with a grain of salt – a reader on Twitter contacted me to say that news on whether or not Dario Saric is coming over this year (he has until July 17th) could be announced as early as tomorrow. His info came from an official if not entirely reliable source… a Sixers ticket rep (a lizardy figure known to use all means possible to sell tickets):

Unless they’re pushing it to tomorrow (or later tonight) to sneak it in under two GOOD NEWS posts that Dario’s not coming, it looks like everything is coming up Sixers.
