WOW! Total Phillies Twitter overhaul this year. This video getting fans ready for the draft tonight, narrated by Michael Jack Schmidt, who is more palatable giving speech than speaking extemporaneously, is quite good. Including Schmidt’s excellent retirement speech – up there with his jersey retirement ceremony – was just icing on the cake of feelings.
Side note: Schmidty cries so good:
Two things flushed away by the passage of time: the Phillies’ red carpet at The Vet and the lack of press conference backdrops before every one was broadcast live.
