Vince Velasquez Says He's "Fine," Through Autograph
Every week when Jayson Stark calls in to Michael Missanelli, we’re always left with an interesting tidbit. Yesterday, he recounted the text message he received from an Astros exec approximately 30 seconds after Vince Velasquez left his start this week after just two pitches: “Told you.”
That seems to be an overconfident (in his trade) Astros front office person believing that they fleeced the Phillies in sending Velasquez to Philly in exchange for Ken Giles. But Velasquez, who underwent Tommy John surgery in 2010, seems to think he’ll be, well, fine, as evidenced by this most informative autograph:

Truly innovative approach here. I like it, a lot. But it could’ve been just a little bit better– if he signed his name:
Oh well. We’ll settle for an injury update.
Side note: Could you imagine a hockey player doing this? My LOWER BODY is fine.
