Oh we’re in for it this season.

After vowing to impart Andy Reid’s foolish, overly-intense, vicious practices this summer, saying things like

“I’ve been around this game long enough to know that this is a contact sport,’’ said Pederson, who spent 12 years in the league as a backup quarterback. “Injuries are a part of the game. I’m not going to shy away from the tackling or shy away from the hitting.

“Do you want to get anybody hurt? No, you don’t want to get anybody hurt. But at the same time, if we learn how to practice in pads and take care of each other when we’re in those situations, it’s just going to make us a better football team down the stretch. The guys will learn how to practice and play fast. And that’s what you want.’’

… and…

… it seems no one is with Crusher Doug, who has pulled a 180 faster than an Olympic swimmer making the turn now that some of his best players are injured perhaps as a result of his own dumbassery:

This is an absolute sign that Doug is clueless. There’s merit to be willing to change your views on something, but Doug is two weeks into his first camp and he’s already reversing course on a basic philosophy, just days after doubling down on it, because, to no one’s surprise, it doesn’t work(!!!). Science and trainers would tell you that unnecessary tackling does more harm than good, but because Doug learned coaching under the damp grundle of Andy Reid, he doesn’t know that and, whoops, learned the hard way now that key pieces on an already thin offense – namely the top running back and wide receiver – already have concerning leg injuries.

This, this is what happens when you attempt to recapture the old magic and hire your sixth coaching option.
