Villanova grad Brian Westbrook is off CSN’s Eagles Postgame Live, according to… well, Brian’s Twitter:

?Odd.

Westbrook, who also does stuff for 97.5, was commuting to Philly from Brooklyn, where he lives, and CSN had been paying for his hotel in Philly. He would bookend his weekend doing an hour with Mike Missanelli on Friday and then often stick around on Monday to do an hour in-studio with Anthony Gargano. He’ll perhaps take on an expanded role around Eagles programming on 97.5 this season. It doesn’t seem his leaving CSN will have an impact.

We expect to have an update on Westbrook’s departure soon.

Meanwhile, I checked Michael Barkann’s feed to see if he had any upbeat thoughts on losing his co-host who also works for his RADIO WARS competitor, and discovered that he blocked me for reasons that are not immediately known to the maestro:

LET’S TALK ABOUT IT!

UPDATE: CSN says in a statement that he wasn’t fired:

“We would like to thank Brian Westbrook for his many on-air contributions to CSN Philadelphia over the last several years, and clarify that he has not been ‘fired’ from the network.  We are making changes to our Eagles pre- and postgame shows in order to bring fresh voices and perspectives, but we value our relationship with Brian and offered him another opportunity with the network, which he declined. We wish him the best and hope to work with him again.”

There you have it.
