I love this.

Draft Kings has implemented LEAGUES. Wait, what? How the F can you have a league for daily fantasy? Good question. Draft Kings has decided to embrace the smaller, private games that have always been available to players and allow people to create leagues amongst their friends. Each time an event is created, it gets sent out to members of the league and is just like any other Draft Kings event. But now Draft Kings will keep standings for your group, so you can award a trophy or other prize to the winner at the end of the season, just like you would in regular fantasy football. It combines the best of both. What’s more, events you create for your league can be in ANY sport, and you’re only competing against other members of the league.

Here’s where it gets even better– Draft Kings has created us a Crossing Broad league and is giving us TWO FREE events this week and next with $500 in prizes for each. It’s FREE, and the top 75 finishers will win money.

Video pitch:

There’s more: Whoever has the highest point total after Week 3 will get TWO LOWER LEVEL SIXERS TICKETS, courtesy of Draft Kings, to a game of their choosing (based upon availability).

So let me repeat: Sign up for our Crossing Broad league, play in our FREE Week 2 and 3 events, win money, and have a chance at winning two lower level Sixers tickets. And, bonus!, if you make a $5 deposit, you’ll get FREE entry to another big-money game.

We’ll of course host weekly football events in the Crossing Broad league, but we’ll also do one basketball event each week, some baseball events during the playoffs, and maybe even mix in some hockey. You’ll be competing only against Crossing Broad readers, for both bragging rights and additional prizes to be determined. It’s that simple.
