Don’t Worry, Doug Pederson Is Totally Cool With His Lackluster Wide Receivers

I’ll give Doug credit for sticking by his guys here – because that’s what you have to do – but judging by these Tweets it seemed more than a passive dismissal and like a statement that these are the guys the Eagles will roll with. He could be lying. But if he’s not, what the hell if wrong with him? Agholor and Huff are fast– that doesn’t mean they can stretch the field. Lamborghinis are also fast, but, like Agholor and Huff, they’re not catching any deep balls. Jordan Matthews has hands of actual formed concrete. DGB seems physically able but has yet to show any sort of consistency in the NFL. And that’s it. Four middling, toolsy-ish receivers who continue to disappoint and give Carson Wentz no legitimate options. I know trading for a wide receiver is probably a long shot, but consider me slightly disappointed that Crusher Doug is willing to admit publicly that he’s “happy” with them.
