Les Bowen Jumped The Gun at the NovaCare Complex
Tensions are high now that criminal mastermind Josh Huff was released by the Eagles. So when Les Bowen saw a highway patrolman carrying a black trash bag out of the locker room, he sprung into action and innuendo:

A-HA! It must be evidence for the future criminal trial of Josh Huff, or perhaps even something more sinister. Except, not at all. Les’ binge-watching of Making a Murderer has betrayed him:
I’m being asked back over to office, so I’m gonna guess the officer was getting something signed for charity…

That was indeed the case: signed minihelmets. I apologize to Dom. Jumped to conclusion . Given recent events, seemed like something else…

Welp, that’s a Twitter lesson. Wouldn’t publish a story without doing more checking. Threshold for Tweeting is lower, but not that low.

Les really jumped the hollow-point loaded gun on this one. I can understand where seeing a police officer carrying a black trash bag from the locker room where a guy being investigated used to work looks suspicious, but you gotta wait a beat. Maybe walk towards where he came from. Maybe ask someone – anyone – what is going on. In the rush to be first that comes with Twitter and the internet in general, waiting a second could mean someone totally scooped you. We usually don’t jump on a story too early and get burned because, frankly, we can’t type that fast. But Les goofed here. At least he owned it:
Yeah I really did. Strange edgy week here RT @xtiandc: @LesBowen You kinda ESP-ed that one Les. We forgive you though.

I swear — grim expressions, etc., it really didn't cross my mind immediately that it could be innocuous. Better to wait a beat and think. https://t.co/Su6NHDf578

I wonder how Les would react if we did something like this.
