Sixers Rest Embiid, Win Anyway

Well, whaddya know? That can happen. At one point, the Sixers were up by 22. 22! Of course, they only won by 7, but that’s not the point. They heard all that stuff you were saying about how Embiid is the only reason to go to a game and they got mad about it and beat the Wizards.

Jahlil Okafor finished with 19 points on 8/11 shooting, Nik Stauskas had a season-high 15 on 6/8 from the floor and 2/3 from three, and Dario Saric notched another quiet double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Highlights from Okafor’s 19:

And what sealed it? A Richaun Holmes dagger, just as Brett planned (look at him trying to hide a smile):

The Sixers, with Joel Embiid, take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on TNT tonight.
