Forgive him, he knows not what he do: Joel Embiid (and the rest of the Sixers) went out for a nice team building event last night in Salt Lake City at… A BOWLING ALLEY. JoJo might not know Philadelphia’s history with oft-injured big men, goofy shoes, slick floors, and big balls, but it’s not a good one. Add to the situation that Embiid will rest for tomorrow night’s game – made public before bowling, but still – and you’re giving a stressed-out fan base unnecessary flashbacks to a time when things were much more dire.

And how do we even know any of this? Embiid was streaming it on Instagram Live (along with Robert Covington), making dick jokes, roasting his teammates (“He ugly as hell, he’s his father’s son,” he said to Nerlens), and having a good time.

At one point, someone from the team – maybe someone in PR or a player who didn’t want to be filmed – asked him to stop doing…something. Embiid responded with “What? I’m having fun,” and continued, but I wouldn’t say it’s unreasonable for the team to be taking notice of Embiid’s streaming.

Embiid’s live streaming is going to be really great until the day that something happens and it isn’t, but for now it’s a must-watch every time. Just please. Be careful around those heavy balls.
