The Flyers Won Another Exciting Game, This Time in Front of Joe Biden, Who Was Destroying His Ice Cream
What another outstanding Flyers win, beating the Capitals 3-2 in a shootout in front of Joe Biden, who was just taking down his ice cream cone:
The best part of this game? Joe Biden and his love affair with ice cream. pic.twitter.com/B991BYMkWP

Gonna miss Joe. It was cool having the vice president be an outward fan of the local teams. Hell, it was cool having a vice president who didn’t think the gay was a disease. Whatever. Apparently the secret service stood up during every stoppage and checked tickets of those sitting around him. I love that he just sat in the crowd and was like “I’ve been doing this bubble shit for eight years, put me with the people, near the glass, Jill will love it.” Are there any shots of him reacting to the win? How are there not shots of this? How did NBC not have multiple cameras trained on him? Was that at the request of the secret service? So many questions.
simmer scores, williams doesn't.

A lot of people on Twitter were calling Simmonds’ shootout winner filthy. Great goal, for sure, but there was literally nothing nasty about this. It was a run-of-the-mill shootout goal stuffed into the upper right corner of the net. I’m not taking anything away from him, but sometimes we get carried away like… every time the Flyers do something good.

Does anyone else think that slide across the net maybe had something to do with his new skates?
I feel like the Flyers might be good.
