Inquirer writer Jeff McLane has been kicked out of the Eagles’ press box, apparently after a disagreement with a staffer over some scoring decision. Les Bowen and others seated nearby chronicled what went down:

The beats are circling the wagons. Not unlike when the White House press corps defended FOX News when the Obama administration attempted to remove their credentials, Eagles reporters are standing up for their peer and – rightfully, though the very nature of this means we’re going to get a lot more from one side – blasting the Eagles over what happened, with Les Bowen, who once literally fought McLane, going HAM and calling out Eagles VP Anne Gordon, who ironically used to work at the Inquirer, by name.

One theory is that this Tweet from McLane earlier today tweaked the Eagles:

McLane has been covering the Eagles for years, and has been quite critical of them this season.

There is likely much more to this story and you’re goddamn right we’ll have much more.
