Just before the game started, the Flyers sent out a press release announcing that Anthony Stolarz would be an emergency fill-in for Steve Mason, who was sick, and the backup to Michal Neuvirth. Stolarz is now in the game after Neuvirth collapsed for reasons unknown. There appear to be two camera angles showing Neuvirth go down while play wasn’t in his zone:

Neuvirth was taken off on a stretcher and appeared to be awake:

Neuvirth is said to have not been feeling well in the locker room before the game.

Video of the ordeal is after the jump:

We’ll update the post when the Flyers make an announcement.

UPDATE: Neuvirth is awake and was taken to the hospital for observation. The Flyers will have an update tomorrow. Eric Semborski, the Skate Zone hockey director who backed up for the Blackhawks earlier in the season, has been called up as the emergency backup to the emergency backup.
