UPDATE: NFL Head of Officiating Dean Blandino Is Leaving for TV
Cowboys supporter and NFL head of officiating Dean Blandino, seen here leaving a Cowboys party bus (not a euphemism), is now leaving the NFL to go work for a network, according to Ian Rappppppppppopopopopopopoport and Aditi Kinkhabwala. Which network? Doubtful that it’s FOX, as Mike Pereira pioneered the former-official-talking-head role (quite well, I might add) years ago and probably isn’t going anywhere. This story is like catnip for NFL reporters on a holiday weekend Friday, and Peter King, who just won me over, will catch flak for his overly melodramatic Tweet here:
Incredible. The NFL needs Blandino. The rest of this story’s going to be very interesting. https://t.co/SkRFQdXqYp

This is exactly the sort wording about an inside-baseball move that disconnects NFL reporters from the rest of civilization.
Anyway, today is a classic news dump day, so stay woke.
UPDATE: It sounds like Blandino is headed to NBC. I look forward to how many gambling references Al Michaels works into his exchanges with him.
