LaVar Ball mouthed the Lakers to completion in a recent interview with ESPN, saying that all three of his kids would play for them and win multiple championships. Problem: The Lakers still aren’t sold on Lonzo after his workout with them.

Here’s Kevin Ding from Bleacher Report:

Yet Ball also didn’t blow the Lakers away or seal any deal in the time he spent with their officials Tuesday and Wednesday, according to sources.

The Lakers remain intrigued by Markelle Fultz and Josh Jackson, and to a lesser extent De’Aaron Fox, along with Ball for their No. 2 overall pick.

There’s more. Ball had a solo workout and shot well but couldn’t really show off much else. It sounds like the Lakers were impressed by Josh Jackson today (I like him) and like Fox’s speed. There’s a lot of nonsense leading up to the draft, of course, but there does seem to be some hesitation on the Lakers’ part here. Ball dropping to three would be just fine (even though I secretly really do like Josh Jackson*).

*I once again went down a Jackson wormhole, this time watching interviews with him from high school. I LIKE HIM.
