This is dumb. Plain and simple. This is a dumb person conversation. The four-for-four topic is beyond played out, but at least it’s a legitimate sports topic on a slow day. But Carson Wentz’s religion, as anything other than a passing mention about how he’s a bit of a zealot, has nothing to do with nothing. This is on a day Wentz launched a foundation to help people:

97.5, rightfully, got crucified for this Tweet:
To all the tweets…Mike is defending Carson Wentz. You must listen, only 140 characters! https://t.co/lsmgbBIDen

Yeah they’re missing the point. It doesn’t matter which side of the contrived debate Mike falls on, the collective eye-roll has to do with the fact that anyone would even consider this a worthy topic. I know I sound like a broken record, but who on Earth, given the choice, would choose that conversation over literally any podcast discussing something that interests them? I don’t care if it’s sports, rock, tech, politics, religion, news, comedy, EROTICISM– doesn’t matter. Everyone has some interest that can be better served than by listening to meatheads debate Carson Wentz’s religion. Never mind the fact that, somehow, this was never a topic when Brian Dawkins, the savior himself, was spouting off platitudes before bashing his own head. I’m sure if Carson Wentz cited the book of Job before running through a cement wall he’d get a pass from the hardened ilk of Philly sports talk radio. Fuck this is dumb.
