T.J. McConnell Continues To Be The Man

T.J. McConnell was a guest on Spike Eskin’s Rights To Ricky Sanchez live podcast on Saturday at. From accounts of those in attendance, McConnell was a great sport about everything in front of a raucous and likely inebriated crowd, which he clearly fed off of. He later took pictures with 500 of them.
The best part? McConnell was asked about being in those Cleveland trade rumors this year. His answer, in the midst of being handed a beer, was perfect:

So towards the end of last year, there were trade rumors about you that a fellow named LeBron James… about him wanting you to come to Cleveland. What was that like?
“Any time you have the best player in the world wanting you to come play with him, it’s awesome. But in the back of my mind, I’m saying don’t want to fucking go to Cleveland. I want to stay here in Philly.”
If you just read that and don’t listen to the audio, it’s clear that McConnell was somewhat joking and playing to the home crowd. But we welcome our ancillary Cavs beef (our first is with the Bucks) once this gets some buzz.
