Report: Good Things Happen to Good People

You get a restructured contract!
And you get a restructured contract!
Everybody gets a restructured contract!
It’s the NFL version of the Oprah Winfrey show:
Sources: the Eagles re-did the contract of DE Chris Long, guaranteeing him $3M this season. His base salary jumped to $2.5M guaranteed (from $1M non-guaranteed), with the team eliminating his $750k in per-game roster bonuses & $750k in incentives. Doing a good player a solid.

Karma goes both ways, doesn’t it?
Crappy things happen to crappy people and good things happen to good people. Long donated his entire 2017 base salary to charity and played really well en route to a Super Bowl win, so the Eagles reportedly rewarded him with a more guaranteed money in 2018. And it’s another player-friendly move, something the organization has become quite good at in recent weeks/months/years.
It’s all about the culture.
