Brandi Chastain is a two-time World Cup winner and two-time Olympic gold medalist who played 192 games for the United States national team.
She was accepted into the Bay Area Hall of Fame recently with a bronze plaque featuring an image that looks nothing like her:

Holy hell! How does this happen?
It’s like the Ben Simmons bobblehead, the one that looks like Luther Vandross.
Brandi was a trooper and took some pictures with the plaque anyway:

Personally, I think it kind of looks like Aunt Lydia from the Handmaid’s Tale. GREAT show on Hulu right now, watch it if you have time:

I don't know about Brandi Chastain, but they nailed Mickey Rooney. pic.twitter.com/wfSb7irMbx

After seeing the hall-of-fame plaque for @brandichastain … I've come to the conclusion that statue/plaque makers hate soccer players. Brandi Chastain, of course, posed next to it like a class act. pic.twitter.com/NyHUAbmVLM
