Some people need love to survive, some need beer, but me? I need Manny Machado rumors to sustain my being. I can’t get enough of them. I crave them. The latest from MLB Network’s Jon Morosi:
Source: #Phillies are willing to include Adonis Medina, their No. 2 prospect, in offer for Manny Machado. The #Orioles have strong interest in Medina. This is a significant development. Our updated story at https://t.co/e5iUTvs575: https://t.co/03ihiwLzWD @MLBNetwork

Yes. That’s the good stuff. Here’s the money excerpt from Morosi’s report:
The Phillies have indicated that they would include right-handed pitching prospect Adonis Medina in a package for Machado, one source told MLB.com. The Orioles are known to covet Medina in the Machado talks. Unless another suitor increases its offer, the Phillies are well-positioned to acquire Machado.
Medina is Philadelphia’s No. 2 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, and No. 73 on the Top 100 list. Thus far, Philadelphia has resisted Baltimore’s request to part with No. 1 prospect Sixto Sanchez.
Tell me more, Jon. Tell. Me. More.
#Phillies the most likely destination for Manny Machado due to Adonis Medina's expected involvement, unless another suitor increases offer. @JonHeyman reported earlier today that trade is "very close." Here’s our latest story tonight: https://t.co/03ihiwLzWD @MLBNetwork @MLB

Ou.
Medina, who replaced Enyel De Los Santos for the World Team in the MLB Futures Game yesterday, is rated the Phillies’ No. 2 prospect by MLB Pipeline. The 21-year-old has a fastball that sits in the mid-90s and an above average slider, but has struggled a bit in Clearwater this season. He has posted a 4.92 ERA, but has struck out 75 batters in 71.1 innings pitched. He has tremendous upside and there’s little wonder why the Orioles covet him. In case you have never seen Medina throw a baseball before, this is what he looks like:
Filthy cold Medina!

Filthy.
Earlier, Jon Heyman reported the Orioles are “very close” to trading the 26-year-old Machado. As a reminder why this storyline runs my life right now, he is hitting .315 with 24 homers and 65 RBI to go along with a .963 OPS this season. I didn’t even have to look those numbers up. They are etched in both my mind and heart this evening. Ask me if I care that Machado has a -20 defensive runs saved at shortstop this season, according to FanGraphs. Go ahead.
I care not.
Machado, in case you missed it, took in the impressive power display of potential future teammate Rhys Hoskins at the Home Run Derby tonight. I’m in love:

What they did to altherr messing him up by putting hi. Always in as a pinch hitter

So if kleanak reads this sell all of those players away because I thought this was a rebuild not an oldbuild
People we could have got instead
Trout
Scoop
Machado
Britton
Realmuto
Stanton

Anjubar
Harper
And you traded away Kilome who was a fun to watch pitcher and don’t bring up Irving or muddiness because he is a 10 times bettrt player than bout or santanta
