It’s the Carolina Panthers.

Ian Rapoport, no relation to the guy who is suing Barstool, says it’s a one year deal. Rap Sheet also says the Panthers “kept the conversations with Eric Reid to football” when speaking with him about playing for their ball club.

Reid, you’ll recall, is a staunch Colin Kaepernick supporter and filed a collusion lawsuit against the NFL. Reid also split with the Malcolm Jenkins-led Players Coalition in a dispute on how the group should operate moving forward.

The Eagles will play the Panthers at home in a few weeks. Carolina had a need for secondary help after placing Da’Norris Searcy on injured reserve after he suffered two concussions in five weeks. Say whatever you will about the national anthem shit, but Reid is a 26-year-old Pro Bowler and can play football. Good move by the Panthers, honestly. The entire NFC South needed a safety and Reid was probably the best one on the market.
