Flyers Recall Michal Neuvirth

Let’s welcome Neuvy back to Philadelphia.
The Flyers’ backup goaltender completed a conditioning assignment with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last night, a 7-3 win in which he stopped 31 of 34 shots:
The #Flyers have recalled @mneuvirth30 from his conditioning assignment from the @LVPhantoms today.

Neuvirth could be line to play on Saturday against the Islanders. The Flyers are in Boston tonight, where Brian Elliott will start.
The oft-injured goaltender only appeared in 22 games last season and underwent offseason hip surgery. He played in 28 games the prior year and 32 games before that season.
He actually had the Flyers’ best save percentage and goals-against average despite seeing limited action last year:
The Flyers’ goaltenders… do not have a good combined save percentage this year.
We’ll see what happens. I’m sure we’ll get some moments of brilliance from Neuvy before he suffers another debilitating injury. Only time will tell.
