Washington signed him for the season finale:

Howie Roseman drafted the defensive end with the 26th pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

He went on to play 37 games for the Birds while registering 0 starts, 4 sacks, 18 tackles, and 4 quarterback hits. Smith was waived last summer and signed with the Seahawks, where he fared a little bit better, logging 2 forced fumbles, 2.5 sacks, 14 tackles, and 5 QB hits in 14 games.

Smith was released in August and hasn’t played a game since, but he’ll get a chance against the Eagles to close out the 2018 campaign.

His selection was considered a reach at the time, and he’ll unfortunately go down as one of the biggest busts in Philly draft history.
