Louisiana Senator Wastes Everybody's Time
As if there aren’t bigger issues facing the United States of America right now, Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy decided it would be a good idea to talk football on Capitol Hill.
He took to the Senate floor this morning to complain about the missed pass interference call from Sunday’s Saints/Rams game. He even brought a blown-up copy of the front page of the Times-Picayune as a “visual aid” –
Cassidy (R-LA) from Senate floor on Saints-Rams game: "What happened in my belief and the belief of many was the most blatant and consequential blown call in NFL history." pic.twitter.com/rbWJQtx0ny

Cassidy: “Football’s more than a game. It is part of our culture and I would say the @NFL has a responsibility to the millions of fans across the country to ensure the integrity of the game and to answer these questions and perhaps a few others.”

I mean, he’s not wrong. Roger Goodell should say something, but this tone deaf politician spent seven minutes talking about NFL officiating on the Senate floor.
American tax dollars at work right here.
