Wayne Simmonds = Not on the Ice
NHL trade deadline approaches. T-minus four hours and counting.
“Simmer” was not on the ice for morning skate:

The deadline is 3 p.m. I think this actually might be a federal holiday in Canada, but not sure. I believe very little work is getting done today, from Medicine Hat all the way to Yellowknife up in the Northwest Territories.
John Shannon says the following:
Keep hearing the asking price by Chuck Fletcher for Wayne Simmonds is high…1st pick and a prospect…Teams are shying away.#NHLTrade

Me? I’d like to see Simmonds to go to a winner. Jets or Preds maybe, a team with a chance to do some damage in the playoffs and reach the finals.
If the Stadium Series game was indeed Simmer’s last game in a Flyers jersey, then what a way to go out.
