Andrew McCutchen Tore his ACL

He’s done for the year:

Well, fuck me.

I really like McCutchen as a player. Seems like a great dude as well.

The injury happened last night, when he was caught in a rundown after Jean Segura fell and didn’t get down the first base line, resulting in Ian Kinsler allowing the ball to drop and turning a double play.

Video after the jump:

Cutch was hitting .256 this year with a .378 on base percentage and .834 OPS.

Schmitty: Back in my day, I can’t remember anyone ever getting hurt. And we played against Tommy John. ‘Course, that was a long time ago. Krukker: Tony Gwynn could still hit .350 with two torn ACL’s. Does anyone else put mayonnaise on their hot dogs? TMac: Let’s check in with Murph. He almost got hit by that foul ball that ricocheted off the camera. You doin’ OK down there, Murph? AHHAWHAWHAWHAWHAW
