This doesn’t necessarily mean Odubel is toast. It could just be a simple measure to help the club from an optics perspective while Herrera goes through the administrative process. The Phillies literally cannot do anything roster wise until Major League Baseball completes their investigation.
Odubel was arrested on Memorial Day for domestic violence. The Phils are off today but the club is honoring the late David Montgomery with a ceremony at CBP.
