Phillies Reportedly "Have Discussed" a Trade for Trevor Bauer
The MLB trade deadline approaches, and as such, we’ve got some rumors floating around out there. They’re swirling.
Here’s a tidbit from Jon Morosi of MLB Network:
#Phillies and #Indians have discussed a possible Trevor Bauer trade, sources say, as I reported on @MLBNetwork this morning. @MLB

Bauer is now 28 years old, a former All-Star who pitched in the 2016 World Series. He’s appeared in 23 games and 152 innings this season and is posting a 3.49 ERA with a 10.6 SO/9 and a 3.5 BB/9. Certainly he’d be an upgrade at the top of the rotation alongside Aaron Nola. Bauer is on a one-year deal this season worth $13 million and has previously said he’d do one-year deals for the remainder of his career.
The Phils have also been linked to Arizona’s Robbie Ray and Zack Greinke. Expect them to be linked to other pitchers, since they need all of the rotational help they can get.
He’s also quite the personality, which is fine with me.
