Pitcher Jason Vargas, Who Recently Said He'd Knock Out a Reporter, is Now a Phillie

Jason Vargas has been traded to the Philadelphia Phillies, a source tells ESPN.

Vargas is 36 years old now, a lefty with a 4.01 ERA plus 7.7 SO/9 and 3.7 BB/9 numbers to boot.
He also recently threatened to beat up a Mets reporter, saying quote, “I’ll knock you the fuck out, bro.”
The Phillies are sending Austin Bossart to New York in return:
