Andy Reid Believes Donovan McNabb Belongs in the Hall of Fame

I’m not sure I agree with him, but here’s Andy’s take on Donovan:

“I know he belongs there,” says Big Red. Also, good on Andy for cutting off the ridiculously long question and just getting on with his answer.
Donovan’s resume, after the jump:
- five NFC Championship games
- one Super Bowl appearance
- 98-62-1 regular season record
- 9-7 playoff record
- 167 regular season and 16 playoff games
- 258 career touchdowns
- 41,028 passing yards
- 3,881 rushing yards and 33 TDs
He’s got the raw numbers to get in, but the fact that he didn’t win a Super Bowl will probably keep him out. Even if he got there 1-2 more times and still lost, you’d have an exponentially better case for inclusion. And it’s not like he’s done much to win the hearts and minds of voters and NFL fans at large in recent years anyway.
Time’s yours.
