Brandon Graham Says Nick Foles Considered Retiring at End of 2017 Season

That’s interesting.

As you already know, Foles considered retiring after his season with the Rams, but spoke with his wife and former Eagles head coach Andy Reid while doing some individual soul searching. He wound up reuniting with Big Red as a backup to Alex Smith in Kansas City, then came back to Philly, won a Super Bowl, and got a big pay day in Jacksonville.

I’ve always felt like Andy’s ability to help talk Foles out of retiring was his intrinsic role in helping the Birds finally win a title. Was it kismet? Was this predetermined by the almighty God? Not sure, but I like that narrative and I’m gonna go with it.
