Chicken Sandwich Wars: The Mike Scott Hive is Headed to Popeyes
If you spent even five minutes on social media Monday, you likely stumbled into the Chick-fil-A vs. Popeye’s war. The two fast food joints were sparring over which franchise has the better chicken sandwich, which resulted in some hot takes being shared by the general public.
I have not had the Popeye’s chicken sandwich, which apparently debuted on August 12th, but I know it’s not as good as Chick-fil-A, since Chick-fil-A is America’s best fast food place, bar none.
Apparently we’re going to get a taste testing though from Mike Scott and the Mike Scott Hive, who will assemble at the Popeye’s near the I-95 entrance/exit ramp in South Philadelphia this afternoon:

This is the Chick-fil-A tweet and the Popeyes response that started the social media back and forth:

And then a little later on Wendy’s, who has a great social media person, jumped into the fray:
Y’all out here fighting about which of these fools has the second best chicken sandwich. pic.twitter.com/4v9RJFgy0T

Right, so that’s the story. The Mike Scott Hive is heading to Popeye’s at 1:30 p.m. in South Philadelphia, where I presume they will be trying the chicken sandwich. There also happens to be a Chick-fil-A and a Wendy’s in the adjacent shopping center (with Ikea and Best Buy), so if you really wanted to buy all three sandwiches and compare them, this would be the best spot to do it.
