Eagles Release Orlando Scandrick, But..

He could be back sooner rather than later:
The #Eagles have released veteran CB Orlando Scandrick, source said. A vested veteran, they could bring him back in Week 2.

If you’re a vested veteran, it means that your entire salary is guaranteed if you’re on the week one roster. Scandrick can sign elsewhere, or the Eagles can bring him back later while not having to guarantee his contract.
One thing this suggests is that Cre’Von LeBlanc should be a go for the 53-man roster alongside Ronald Darby, Avonte Maddox, Sidney Jones, and Rasul Douglas. LeBlanc could also go on short-term injured reserve and make way for Scandrick if the Birds wanted to re-approach that situation after the Redskins game.
Jalen Mills will be on the PUP list.
