Tell ya what –

That game was bananas.

Turkey pushed the United States to overtime in the second round of the FIBA World Cup, then missed four straight free throws en route to a 93-92 loss. Absolute gut wrencher. Former Sixer Ersan Ilyasova missed the final shot at the buzzer after putting up 23 points and 14 rebounds in 37 minutes of play. Scottie Wilbekin, who spent about five seconds in Philadelphia, added 14.

Current Sixer Furkan Korkmaz had a nice game, scoring 16 points and adding 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, though he did turn it over three times. Furkan went 6-11 from the field and hit 3 of his 6 three point attempts, his shot chart looking like this:

I don’t know why they decided to put gray dots on a gray background, but it’s a very analytics-friendly shot chart. Furkan hit a couple shots off cuts to the rim and tried only one mid-range jumper.

I’m looking for highlights right now, which will probably be most 4th quarter and overtime clips, but Furkan did hit a beautiful catch and shoot three-pointer right over an American defender, might have been Harrison Barnes but I could be wrong. I will attempt to find that highlight because it was a very nice shot.

For now, enjoy the Chinese guy in the crowd wearing an Allen Iverson jersey:
