Unfortunately, the Lenny Dykstra vs. Angry Bagel Guy boxing match will not be taking place.

Lenny pulled out of this weekend’s fight on advice of his attorney, who would like him to focus on looming a malpractice lawsuit.

The suit was filed against Boucher LLP in Los Angeles and claims negligence and disregard in an earlier lawsuit Dykstra filed alleging he was beaten by sheriff’s deputies at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles. Dykstra, a New Jersey resident, claims the law firm fouled up his chances to sue Los Angeles County. Jury selection is set for Oct. 21 and the trial is tentatively set to begin the following day.

“I have discussed with Lenny the grave seriousness that accompanies American civil jury trials,” attorney John Pierce wrote in a statement Monday. “He is absolutely dedicated to approaching this trial with the same degree of focus that characterized his legendary career on the baseball diamond.”

The fight, however, will go on, with Dustin Diamond of “Saved by the Bell” fame stepping in for Nails. Screech is 42 years old now, stands six feet tall, and TMZ says he’s fought in the past:
