Gotta be honest with you; I didn’t know Barstool had a Washington guy. I thought the Redskins, Nationals, and Wizards sucked so bad that they’d just punt the DMV entirely and let a national writer handle anything interesting coming out of the swamp, like the Caps actually stumbling to a championship a while back.

But apparently Nate Blogg is their guy down there, and he says the Bryce Harper harasser, the guy who said shit about his family and his son, is not a Nationals fan at all.

He’s apparently a Boston guy:

“It’s literally me and I feel bad Nats fans are being blamed.”

This makes a lot of sense. I was somewhat skeptical from the beginning, since the Nationals don’t really have any fans. That stadium is typically inhabited by D.C. lobbyists and slimy political staffers who are looking for casual entertainment.

From the Barstool blog:

So yeah. As it turns out it’s just a random Red Sox fan who goes to school in DC who got drunk at a Nats game who wanted to get under Bryce’s skin. He said “your son is embarrassed of you” and then he felt bad and wanted to apologize. So that’s where we’re at.

Here’s my thoughts- every fan base has bad eggs. I think Nats fans are a bit peeved because Bryce is trying to act like in his 7 years in DC he never heard much, muchhhhh worse from Philly fans. Shit, I read worse on Twitter in tweets we were both tagged in from over the years. I don’t think “your son is embarrassed of you” is really that bad. His son is 1 month old, he doesn’t even have the mental capability to be embarrassed. He just poops all day.

That last part is false. Babies don’t poop all day, only every 2-3 days.

But good on the Boston guy for apologizing.

Carry on.
