MLB Umpire Rob Drake Apologizes for “Cival War” Tweet

Major League Baseball umpire Rob Drake deleted a tweet he posted this week, a tweet claiming he would buy an AR-15 while foreshadowing “Cival War” if President Trump were to be impeached.

MLB decided to look into this and now Drake has apologized, sending the following message to ESPN’s Jeff Passan:

  2. He is not the only far right wing conservative calling for civil war and violence. What’s more concerning is the atmosphere that is creating these extremist views that they think that their guns, violence and civil war are the answer. It’s time for conservatives to choose: party or country.

Or arrested? “In some jurisdictions assault is defined as the threat of bodily harm that reasonably causes fear of harm in the victim while battery is the actual physical impact on another person. If the victim has not actually been touched, but only threatened (or someone attempted to touch them), then the crime is assault.”
