The Eagles Have Released Zach Brown

Just a week removed from calling Kirk Cousins “the weakest part of the [Minnesota Vikings] offense” and a day after Cousins ripped the Eagles’ defense apart, Zach Brown now finds himself unemployed:

How important was Brown in Jim Schwartz’s game plan?

Someone’s going to have to step up to play those snaps. Who do you think is the best option to fill his shoes? Were the Eagles right to release him?

  1. Another great signing by the boy-genius, Howie Roseman.

  2. I’m sure with his college education, he will do just fine in life. He probably has an Accounting, Engineering or Technology major.

  3. I was at the game yesterday. Someone forgot to tell the Freaking Eagles how ridiculous you look when you are showboating and taunting the crowd while losing by three TDs. I concluded that Pederson & Howie have bigger problems with his team than his injured defensive backfield, and this story convinces he may share that opinion.
Now let’s turn the page & beat the cowboys!!

    E-A-G-L-E-S

    EAGLES!!!!!

  4. This guy is do confusing: he has the name of a suck-ass country band and looks like a 275 lb Teddy Pendergrass. That said, couldn’t they have traded him for a live db?

    1. That’s what gets me. I’m fine with releasing the bum but the whole “multiple teams expected to have interest” kicker makes me wonder why he wasn’t traded. Howie the king of getting 6th rounders for trash.
