Eagles Reportedly Reached out to Torrey Smith

Torrey Smith retired this year, but the Birds could really use receiver help after D Jaccson was put on injured reserve following core muscle surgery.

Jordan Matthews was in town yesterday, and it’s inevitable that he’ll be back with the Birds this year, but what about Smith? He did win a Super Bowl here. He’s only 30 years old and may still have something left in the tank. He’s a deep threat who can TAKE THE TOP OFF the defense.

The Birds apparently did reach out to Smith, according to John Clark, but Smith said “nah I’m good” –

Cross him off the list.

We will always have the Atlanta Falcons playoff game, the ball that bounced off Keanu Neal’s knee and magically found Torrey for a 20-yard gain right before halftime. The Birds went on hit a 53-yard field goal there and, well, you know the rest:
