Facebook isn’t the best source for rational and pragmatic thought, but I had to share this comment anyway, because it’s fantastic.

Uh… yeahhh… (Lumberg voice)

Here, I’ll write it out for you in case you don’t feel like clicking the Tweet or can’t see the letters:

“If I was Elton Brand I would take page of Masai Ujiri’s book when he traded Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks from the Denver Nuggets and trade Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid right now for depth and upside. Send him to Atlanta for their young core. Leave them with Trae Young. The Hawks would go for it because they are looking to recreate the Golden State WARRIORS, Ben Simmons their point center like Jokic and Draymond Green. But actually a better Draymond Green. Then trade Joel Embiid to the Kings for their Backcourt and maybe Marvin Bagley and Harry Giles the 3rd.    They will go for it because right now they imploding and could aqcuire a franchise player around whom they can build. The Sixers would have the Strength in numbers with Tons of Upside potentially making them a better team in the long run than the Golden State Warriors.  So let’s look at that roster Al Horford, Marvin Bagley, John Collins, DeAndre Hunter, Cam Reddish, Bruno Fernando, Al Huerter, Harrison Barnes, Harry Giles 3rd, DeAaron Fox, Buddy Hield. Starting 5 would be Tobias Harris, DeAaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes, Al Horford. that’s a Big 5! 2nd team would be Marvin Bagley 3rd, John Collins, Harry Giles 3rd, Al Huerter, Cam Reddish 3rd team would be DeAndre Hunter, Zhaire Smith, Josh Richardson, Matisse Thybulle, and Bruno Fernando.”

Hmm.. well it’s a bold idea, and I think we can all appreciate outside-the-box thinkers. The Sixers would look good with “Al Huerter” and the suspended John Collins coming off the bench.

Should the Sixers do this? Should they pull the trigger?
