This is not a Foles vs. Wentz story.

I just wanted to share this clip from a recent press conference in DUVAAAAAL, where Nick said some stuff about God and Jesus and then talked about his mindset as he worked his way back from injury. People are digging the hell out of this quote:

Large weiner Nick, in part:

“We tend to make this so much about us, as human beings, we tend to make this about us as athletes. It’s not about us. It really isn’t. It you make it about yourself, you’re probably going to go home at night, lay your head on your pillow, and be very alone and very sad. Hopefully someday you can find that purpose in your life. My purpose isn’t football, it’s impacting people. My ministry happens to be the locker room. I’ve been able still get to know people, get to know guys through an injury. Though I might not be playing, that’s difficult from a fleshly perspective, but from a spiritual perspective, from my heart, I’ve been able to grow as a human being, to where I feel like I’m in a better situation as a person then I was before, because of the trial I just went under. I know that’s a sermon in itself, but that’s how I go through life.”

It’s a great message, even if you’re not a Christian. I’d say this advice is applicable to anybody, whether they’re Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Zoroastrian, Hindu, Buddhist, Atheist, Agnostic, Yazidi, Taoist, Wiccan, Shinto, or if they worship the ancient nature spirits of yore.

When you listen to that, it’s no wonder that BDN was well-liked by his teammates.
