Non-contact injury for Alshon last night. Didn’t look good as he hurt himself while trying to push off and had to limp off the field.

Said Doug today:

“Lane Johnson is week-to-week. Alshon is a little more significant. I am waiting on one more test result later this afternoon. It’s a little more significant with him and we have to do a course of action, a plan with him, here pretty soon probably.”

The head ball coach was asked straight up if he thinks it might be season-ending for the receiver:

“I’m gonna wait before I comment on that. It’s significant. Until I get this last test result this afternoon.”

Doesn’t sound good. Nelson Agholor is also “still up in the air,” according to Pederson. But if Johnson is being labeled as “week to week” with three games left, and Jeffery’s injury is “a little more significant,” then his prospects to return this year seem rather bleak, yeah?

Miles Sanders and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, are ‘okay,’ so that’s the good news. As for Lane, you might be looking at Big V playing in his spot again next weekend, unless the Birds decide to push Jason Peters over to the right side and let Andre Dillard play left tackle.

Here’s the play where Alshon pulled up:

Non-contact is never good.
