Update via ESPN:

Police on Tuesday said a 21-year-old male has turned himself in after a backpack reportedly belonging to former NBA star Allen Iverson that contained $500,000 worth of jewelry was stolen.

The incident took place around 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Sofitel Hotel in Philadelphia. Police did not identify who owned the backpack, but multiple reports say it belonged to Iverson.

Police are withholding the name of the man who turned himself in because he hasn’t been formally charged.

NBC 10 says the suspect is being questioned at Central Detectives and shared a statement from the Sofitel:

“An incident was reported in the hotel lobby, which the local authorities are handling with full cooperation from the hotel. As always, the safety and security of our guests and colleagues remains our top priority.”

Speaking of expensive jewelry, you should have seen what Gucci Mane was wearing on Saturday night. You could see the bling from 40 feet away on media row. And the purple fur coat was absolutely outrageous:

    1. when you’re a liberal, white, nerd such as Kevin… you live through our television and star worship. the darker the berry, the more turned on white, nerds such as Kevin get. Following their lives and having meaningless college degrees in liberal arts are their biggest sense of pride.

    1. I encourage any fans in the area to remove Matt’s hat and run out of the arena with it. The ever classy late Dave Zinkoff never wore a hat.
