This oughta cheer up the Delaware Valley on a rainy Tuesday. Following Monday’s trade deadline, Flyers general manager met with the assembled media to touch on a variety of topics, but the most important update had nothing to do with the trade deadline. In the midst of his press conference, Fletcher was asked about forward Oskar Lindblom, who’s been undergoing treatment following a cancer diagnosis in December:

The biggest takeaway in that as far as I’m concerned?
In terms of of what they are looking for, everything is going even better than planned… They seem optimistic. Oskar is optimistic. If you’ve had a family member or friend who’s fought this terrible disease, you can attest to just how important having a positive outlook can be. #OskarStrong
