The Coronavirus nonsense coincides with the time period in which NHL and NBA teams are doing season ticket renewals and playoff sales.

As such, the Flyers and Sixers are trying to come up with solutions that make sense, and this week the local hockey team emailed ticket holders announcing that they’d allow deferment of STH payments.

Here’s part of the email that was sent out:

These are the options the Flyers are offering:

  1. twelve month plan, spread remaining balance from June to February in nine payments
  2. nine month plan, spread remaining balance from June to January in eight payments
  3. seven month plan, spread remaining balance from June to November in six payments

The email goes on to say that no playoff payments will be processed “until the NHL announces playoff timing and format and the Flyers clinch a playoff berth.” You’re also being given the option to revisit and change your “playoff purchase decision” prior to payments processing.

Good on the Flyers for the flexibility here. Not sure really what else they can do at this time, but giving people options seems like the right way to go.

If any Sixers STH get emails you’d like to share, email me at [email protected].
