DETAILS: Philadelphia Flyers mascot, Gritty, is set to give families in Delaware County a much-needed quarantine surprise Thursday evening. Following in the footsteps of cultural icons such as Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, Gritty will journey through Delaware County neighborhoods atop a firetruck beginning at 5:30 p.m. to spread Flyers cheer. With the help of the Rocky Run Fire Department of Media, Pa., the route will kick off along Granite Run Mall Road and make its way past local neighborhood spots such as Penncrest High School, Linvilla Orchards, and Indian Lane Elementary School. Fans in the area are encouraged to continue practicing safe social distancing procedures while enjoying the event.
